A beautiful room for a child. That is, which one?
In all the assortment that modern people have at their disposal we can find so many products that it is hard to decide. The plethora of colors, the ability to choose the style of accessories and their themes, all this gives endless possibilities for decorating any interior.
Decorating a child’s room is always a unique project. I know this well myself, as I am about to become a mother. A layette for a baby, including the design elements of the place where our Young Man will spend his first and subsequent weeks, months and years are exciting choices, but also hours spent paging through websites and catalogs. Whether the Toddler will have his own room or will, for the time being, share it with Parents, the prospect of decorating a child’s space is very tempting!
A beautiful room for a child is the dream of every Parent Aesthete. What should this room be like, how to arrange a cozy corner for our kid, what colors and materials to choose?
Together with Fibero Fabrica, we decided in the next post of our moodboard series, to present 4 original wallpaper and fabric combinations that will inspire you to create a stylish space for your Toddler. We selected the materials so that they are elegant compositions that can be used in the children’s room, but also in the parents’ bedroom, in the form of decorative accents that will not demolish our world and will introduce a pleasant mood.
What should a child's room be like?
In the current trends we have a whole range of styles. For several years there has been a trend in which children’s rooms are decorated in shades of cream and cream, vintage designs that take us back to the atmosphere of Anne of Green Gables. Parents tired of plastic, poor quality materials and popular culture are looking for something unique, beautiful and of good quality.
What is the ideal decor for a child’s room?
1. safe – decor elements made of non-toxic, good quality materials that are not allergenic and do not harm the child!
2 Adequate – appropriate to the age, gender, character and tastes of the child. If our kid can already tell us a favorite pattern – let the child decide on the choice of wallpaper, color or material.
3. timeless – although children grow very quickly, it is worth deciding on a decor that will serve not only the infant (although at this time the decor is mainly for our satisfaction – let’s not hide) but also a slightly older child.
4. durable and long-lasting – children’s creativity knows no bounds! They will certainly have different ideas, it is worth choosing materials that can withstand various attempts to tune them! 😉 Washable wallpaper and easy-to-clean fabrics, will certainly make cleaning easier.
5. beautiful and original – this is the place where the child rests, plays, soon also does homework and invites friends. Make this place special!
When considering how to decorate a child’s room, the first choice we make is usually to choose a base color. Whether defined by the gender of the toddler or our individual tastes, it is one of the basic criteria in interior design. It is worth betting on combinations of patterns and colors that will create a beautiful, elegant and cozy atmosphere, without overloading with one color or pattern. Try to balance stronger colors with more subdued ones, but also choose different textures so that not all design elements are plain. Uniform wall color, plain fabric of bedding and decorative pillows, carpet and other decorative elements in one color do not look good. Betting on one color, let’s at least try to have different textures and at least one additional color to balance the whole. However, we encourage more daring combinations, which we present below!

Wallpaper Royal Owl Baby Blush is a design inspired by coats of arms and royal wallpapers. What would a little princess’ room look like if the queen could choose one of our wallpapers for it?
