Interior Moodboard – part. 1. Inspiration in black and white.

What is a moodboard? How to create it?

One of the first steps to creating a beautiful interior is a moodboard. What is a moodboard? This is nothing more than a mood and inspiration board for the interior. It can include leitmotifs, include notes, sketches, materials that we will use in the implemented interior. It’s a visual way to juxtapose our visions, perceptions, placement and confront them on one plane. It is also an ideal tool for communication between the architect and the client, sometimes also with subcontractors of particular design elements.

How to create an interior moodboard?

To create a moodboard we collect textures, wallpapers, paint colors, material samples, photos, fabrics, metallized elements – anything that will reflect the style and mood we want to recreate.

Moodboard is one of the more interesting design elements. This is a great way to organize your thoughts and make final decisions on the choice of tiles, wallpaper, wood color or type of fabrics in the designed interior. It makes it easier to follow a plan in decoration and maintain the right direction. It is also great fun and an excuse to experiment!

Uncommon cooperation. LeChart Studio together with Fibero Fabrica!

Patterns are something we work on every day, both at LeChart Studio and at Fibero Fabrica. We love the colors, unusual combinations and original design. No wonder we ended up running into each other! We decided to combine our designs and create a series of original mood boards!

This is how our summer series of moodboards in different color palettes was created, which will appear periodically on our websites, in the BLOG tab and on social media.

With the use of LeChart Wallpaper and Fibero Fabrica fabrics, we want to inspire all designers, to combine patterns, textures and colors in designed interiors, and our observers, clients, friends to be brave in choosing accessories and creating original spaces.

We start the fun with Black&White!

Inspiring contrasts!

Wallpaper Modern Flamingo is a beautiful, modern pattern that perversely shows flamingos hidden in newspaper “tear-out” shapes. It’s a bit of a contemporary moro, and a bit of a world map affair. Here, much is left to the imagination, which makes the pattern particularly interesting and characterful. One could say that there is a lot going on, and only subdued colors, referring to the wallpaper will balance this fever of shapes. Intense pattern, however, does not always have to be juxtaposed with smooth surfaces. This is a safe solution. For us, however, too easy! In the creation of this inspiring interior mood board, we opted for boldness and maximalism. Black and white, was the perfect excuse to create this, inspiringly contrasting composition. We have juxtaposed the design of our Modern Flamingo Copper wallpaper with the beautiful Fibero Fabrica upholstery fabrics, m. in. with a distinctive Bentley fabric, which corresponds to the wallpaper pattern, and Galahad, in black. A bit of exclusive stripes, a bit of abstract pepit, and all with the addition of copper tones of the wallpaper. In the interior, it is worth adding elements that will tie the theme together. Glass, in orange brown, frosted vases and decorative elements. It is important to keep the tonality of the whole at a constant level and choose shades similar to each other.

In such a” bomb” of patterns it is worth adding a calming, calming element – still keeping the tonality. Large areas of color alluding to these decorative colors will be ideal. We recommend uniform painting of the walls, smooth table surfaces and, for example, one large upholstered piece of furniture – in a solid color that will bring some harmony. Feel free to experiment!!!

Graphic with a touch of nature!

Simply Botanic Grey wallpaper
is a botanical wallpaper with silhouettes of Polish birds, surrounded by delicate gray leaves. The wallpaper was created on the basis of watercolors, in muted colors. Grays and beiges, intermingle with each other and encourage the combination of graphic elements with natural materials. Wood, braids, grass and grain elements.

White, occurs here in a broken form. It is more of an “eggshell” color, which softens the strong contrasts with black. In fabrics and accessories there are “flecks” – That’s what we caressingly call them, thinking of textures that are not uniform and incorporate fibers with a slightly darker color, creating a subtle mélange.

In this moodboard, we combined cool, graphic contrasts, with earthy colors that warm the mood and add a cozy feel to the whole composition.

Calmer fabrics and cozy beiges, were wonderfully accompanied by subdued but patterned wallpaper and contrasting upholstery fabrics from Fibero Fabrica – Morena and Gulia. Both graphic fabrics include, not only black and white, but tie the whole thing together thanks to elements of neutral gold beige!

They perfectly complement the composition, which without this patterned company would be a classic variation on the theme of gray-brown.

Black, white and ... forest.

Silk Road Green Forest wallpaper
is a pattern full of vegetation, with herons, cranes and wild ducks hiding between them.
Pattern, designed without report with attention to every detail.
A mural in shades of dark forest green, with elements of brown and accents of white.

An atmospheric wallpaper, it blends perfectly with black, white and shades of gray.

The distressed background of the wallpaper and its numerous details, give a wide range of possibilities for selecting fabrics of accessories so that they perfectly blend into one interior. Fabrics that are a melange of several colors present in the wallpaper will be a hit! Black with elements of white, forest green with elements of black, all the accessories begin to create a magical set.

Referring to the pattern of the wallpaper and the browns that appear in the color of the birds’ plumage, we chose elements of gold in very subtle accessories. A small amount of yellow gold in the pattern of the fabric, which refers to the shape of feathers enlivens the whole, giving the composition a very individual style.

We also fell in love with the black globe, in this listing, which fills this entire moodboard with the prospect of distant, luxurious travel – especially business travel!

This inspiration board, could be used to create a beautiful office with elements of colonial decor! We love. 😉

Total monoCHROM

Chinoiserie Silk Road Silver Wallpaper
is a Japanese-style pattern. One of our bestsellers, just in this shade.
Photo wallpaper in shades of gray with elements of single pastel birds. (possibility to remove birds on request, leaving only floral patterns)

Atmospheric wallpaper, goes perfectly with black, white, gray and chrome! Through its steel tones, the wallpaper beautifully reflects in the chrome objects adding a magical depth to them.

We juxtaposed the Chinoiserie Silk Road Silver wallpaper with a bold and contrasting upholstery fabric – pepito from Fibero Fabrica. For company, we selected her fabrics a little more polite, although they are still not smooth! In the velours of the Forio collection, there are delicate dots, and in the structure of Amazon fabrics, we see subtle checkering.

Combining different structures, when creating a monochromatic space is an excellent solution that works…. well… every time! 😉

We can further accentuate this monochromatic mix with mirrors or chrome silver accessories that will reflect structures and patterns, sometimes producing surprising effects! It is worth experimenting.

For those who need something fresh in this composition. We opt for real, natural leafy greenery, such as in graphic black and white pots!
